We will empower people to live healthier lives

  • Lifeworks – wrap around support with ‘LifeWorks’ initiative giving colleagues 24/7 professional counselling throughout the pandemic and beyond

Charitable giving & community

We will feed people in our communities

  • Production of care packages for the vulnerable during Covid lockdown 1.0, over 250,000 boxes packed at Corby depot
  • 200 tonnes of produce donated to good causes during March-April 2020

We promise to reduce packaging over time

  • Removing 200kg of card and 1040 kg of plastic a year from a single customer apple SKU of packaging
  • Citrus netting, changed to home compostable led to the removal of 2m non recyclable nets per year

Environmental Best Practice / Plastic reduction

  • Larger pack sizes of our popular soft fruits removing 800,000 single use plastic punnets per year
  • Avocado trays removed from our twin packs resulting in annual savings of 308,000 trays per year

Carbon footprint reduction

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint

  • Utilising network delivery efficiencies to reduce stem mileage usage by 10 – 20 %
  • LED lighting fitted across our estate

Food waste reduction

We are committed to minimising food waste

  • Regular review of forecasting and warehouse management systems to reduce food waste
  • Zero waste will be sent to landfill

CSER in action


Working in partnership with FareShare, the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors. We donated over 349,000 meals to the charity during the first national Covid lockdown
